Carl David

Show Description:

Carl will discuss how his family's Fine Art Gallery, now in its 4th generation was conceived and how it has evolved since it was established in 1910. They specialize in original 18th-20th century American & European paintings, watercolors, drawings & sculptures. He will disclose the factors (both external & internal) which determine the pricing of Fine Art in the various markets.  The art market is layered; private, public & institutional, and although the rules of engagement are somewhat standard, there are differences that come into play within each segment.  Carl will talk about the trends in art and how & why they change, and will give examples of pricing so his words are not simply abstract rhetoric but exciting glimpses into the complex labyrinth of the mysterious art world.

This seasoned Art Dealer will cover aspects of restoration and conservation, the necessity and the abuse, as well as works of art that are counterfeit and how one can protect themselves from unscrupulous vendors, etc.  Art is a magnificent investment which enhances our environment, yielding dividends in beauty while growing in value with no depreciation or maintenance.  It is a vehicle to transport us to a different place, making us feel at ease, giving us the ability to step away from our daily stresses.  Carl is the author of "Collecting & Care Of Fine Art" which was published by Crown, NY, 1981 and has more recently written,"Bader Field" Nightengale Press, 2008.  www.carledavid.com

"HEALING OUR ANIMALS"

Carl David, author, fine art dealer and animal lover to host this episode of Everything Animal. Carl is very much  an animal lover, and an animal advocate. In his own life, blessed with animals, Carl has learned how to channel healing energies for many animals. His unique and loving approach has helped many animals heal as well as live well past expected timelines set by the veterinarian community. On this show Carl will cite several examples of how he has been a channel for healing animals; several dogs (his favorite), a bird which was near death after a storm and even a friend's pony who was failing even after extensive medical intervention.  Using the energy in his hands as a vessel, he visualizes and channels healing as he gently lay hands upon the ailing animals, letting the energy go where it needs to go.  Intuitively he lets his hands be guided without presuming to know where to place them as they move with random call as directed by Spirit.

Sessions generally last from 10-20 minutes, depending, and he always asks that the owners please let him know if their animals improve.  To see an animal heal and regain their wellness is great reward.  To know that he has contributed in small measure is absolute joy.

"I have always had a great love for animals and a kinship with them. They give so much and ask so little.  Their eyes tell all and speak volumes if we would just listen.  Communication with them is delicious. Communing with them is Divine!"

Bader Field on The Wellness Roadshow PDF Print E-mail

Catherine Bradford interviews Carl David on her Show "Wellness Roadshow" regarding his latest book, "Bader Field" which depicts the David family's journey of love, forgiveness and acceptance as they live through the shocking suicide of one of their three sons.

Carl is on a devoted mission to pay forward through the darkest days of his life, an awareness of the permanent badge of pain that is worn by the family survivors of such a final act.

He is aiming to reach teens and young adults before they reach that edge of desperation and bring them back from the precipice by showing them that there is always a better way, that there is love and help out there for them.

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.  Everyone needs to know that so they can consider a better way to resolve their despair.
